Paul Dally, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Paul Dally, M.D., has been practicing surgery in the Portland/ Vancouver area since 1987.
Dr. Dally graduated from the University of Idaho in 1977 with a B.S. in Fisheries Resources. He worked at a small hospital in Soda Springs, Idaho, upon graduating. The influence of several physicians and the staff at the hospital/nursing home led Dr. Dally to pursue a career in medicine. He attended the University of Washington Medical School, completing an internship and residency in General Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. While at St. Joseph, Dr. Dally participated in surgical weight-loss procedures under the direction of Dr. Gifford Eckhout.
Dr. Dally has pursued additional training in laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgical techniques involving many areas of surgery, including breast, lung, liver and gallbladder, intestinal (stomach, small bowel, and colon), trauma and vein disorders. His areas of special interest are bariatric surgery and treatment of vein disorders using minimally-invasive techniques.
Dr. Dally is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons, and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Dally is married to Lisa with three children. Lisa is an accomplished quilter, entomologist, and school volunteer. The children are active in soccer and school activities. When not transporting the kids, Dr. Dally also enjoys archery, and as an amateur Bowyer, hopes to build the ideal bow some day. He also enjoys cross-country hiking and fishing.
Dr. Dally has presented lectures in laparoscopic bariatric surgery and is available to present education programs.
